After more than 15 years in Beaverton and 18 with OEA, UniServ consultant Tom Husted will retire in August. Tom has worked with six BEA presidents, advocated tirelessly for members, bargained excellent language into our contracts, and been instrumental in growing BEA on all levels.
After his daughter Tiana graduates in Beaverton next year, Tom and his wife Tsulan will likely return to Hawaii to be with family and enjoy the island life. Tom leaves a legacy of professionalism and dedication in Beaverton that is palpable, and he will be missed.

Beaverton Education Association |
|
BEA is affiliated with our state and national associations; the Oregon Education Association (OEA), and the National Education Association (NEA).
BEA represents its 2,600 members' interests through bargaining and collaborative problem solving sessions with the Beaverton School District. We offer a variety of training opportunities in areas such as leadership, communication, contract maintenance and licensure.
As our membership grows, we continue to look for new ways to address the challenges facing the modern educator. Creating an informative and friendly web site is one way we are trying to meet the diverse needs of our members.
Take a look around our site and see what we're all about. This site is intended to help current BEA members with the many questions they may have about their local union as well as inform new or prospective BEA members.
